Starry Night: 2011 Foals

APHA 2011 colt "Riehle" Bay Tobiano
APHA 2011 filly "Lola" Grulla Tobiano - Offered For Sale

Starry Night: Skippin Bail Boss- Offered For Sale

Skippin Bail Boss, or "Zookie", is dashing APHA yearling Bay Tobiano stud colt offered by Anna and Steve of Starry Night. He is obviously in the midst of a growth spurt in these pictures but it didn't take away from his movement one bit. This colt, like Joey's other kids I photographed, has impulsion and reach to spare.

Starry Night: Dont Boss Me- Offered For Sale

This barbie girl has one of the adorable personalities I've ever seen in a foal. I wanted to pop her in the back of my truck and take her home. Dont Boss Me, or "Poppet", is a yearling palomino Tobiano filly offered for sale by Starry Night. If you've wanted your own Barbie horse since you were little- well, here you go. She's just dreamy.

Starry Night: Doodle- Offered For Sale

I can't even tell you how impressed I was with this little girl. Let's just say I wouldn't kick her out of my barn for eating cookies in bed. ;) Doodle is APHA Tuff To Boss, a 2 yr. old chestnut Tobiano, While she's just as photogenic as the other Starry Night ponies, the pictures don't show you how wonderfully balanced her movement is- very cool in so young a horse. Despite being slightly downhill when I took these pictures, her movement had reach, implusion and suspension. If you're looking for sporthorse prospect with some flash, you couldn't go wrong with this little lady. Her personality was solid enough that I would have zero concerns making her up as a kid's horse with a competant trainer.

Starry Night: Heaven

If this mare had been for sale, I'd have started making phone calls :)

AQHA Patch Of Heaven "Heaven" Buckskin mare, owned by Anna and Steve Longan of Starry Night

Starry Night: Joelee- Offered For Sale

This lovely lady is APHA Joelenas Chance "Joelee". Joelee is being offered for sale by Starry Night. She is a gorgeous, flashy, catty mover.

Starry Night: "Drizzle"

Sudden Drizzle is a darling APHA mare owned by Anna and Steve Longan of Starry Night. She is truly striking.

Starry Night: Bennas Doc Boss

I had the opportunity last week to take photos of Anna and Steve's horses out at Starry Night in Big Rock TN.

Not only were Anne and Steve lovely hosts (and very gracious about chasing horses around the arena in the heat), the horses were gorgeous and charming. Their stallion Bennas Doc Boss, or Joey, was very photogenic- making my job much easier!

Some of Joey's glamor shots;

There are many more to come, including some darling baby shots!

A New Addition

...only ask, and he will weave a spell to light the dark recesses of your being, spinning around you a web of sweet delights. He will be your children's playmate; a child himself, he'll do no harm. He'll pardon like no other your omissions, errors, thoughtless handling. His back, a throne of feathers, will bear you smoothly at the trot and gallop. He'll go where others dare not. He'll stand firm where others flee in terror. You'll discover that the pirouette is easy, that a rein back can go on forever, that you need not be a great rider to perform airs above the ground. At the spur's light touch he'll take flight with the wind, bearing you safely through the air laden with long forgotten fragrance. With him, the distant mountains will be clearer, brighter the light of the stars, the trilling of the nightingale more joyful, sweeter the gurgling of the streams. And at last you'll understand why he was e'er the chosen one of kings.
