Project 365 Day 4
Photo Challenge and Project 365
| Project 365 Day 2 |
The only editing on this photo is to saturate the color just a tad. I'm still not great at messing with the quality on the white, but I'm gonna play with it tomorrow.
I'm also submitting this photo for the i heart faces Best Face of 2010 Challenge. While I don't think it really compares to some of their contributor's photos, I look at it and see the progress I've made over the last year with my shooting. I knew when I took it how it would come out and it was a shot I was trying to get. I couldn't have done this on purpose a year ago.
You can check out the rest of the submissions at i heart faces

Merry Christmas
I love Christmas. It is my favorite holiday- fellowship, family, faith and beautiful moments.
As a Catholic (and a Catholic-school educated one at that), I have strong color associations with major church events. Christmas is gold, silver and red. I like white lights, gold and silver ornaments and decorations, and touches of crimson. While this drives my husband nuts, he tolerates my insistence of this brand of beautiful at Christmas.
I took this picture on Christmas Eve. It is the Rosary that my mom gave me at my wedding and the Bible that has lived on my nightstand for years. I own several bibles- I like to mark when I read and have taken several college level classes that involved Biblical texts. This one is not marked, simply read and held.
The only editing I did was play with the color temperature. I'm still not completely happy with it. But it captured the general feel I was going for.
Foto Friday
It's easy to get wrapped up in the "stresses" of the season. At it's core, Christmas is a time to celebrate beginnings and being together.
It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas
I decided to put this photo in for the Christmas challenge over at Aspire. Check out all the other entries :)
Holiday Lights
I love the look of the holidays. Lights, green, prettiness everywhere. I'm still working on shooting it well. These were taken with window light in the afternoon.
Bella doesn't look so excited.

Warm Thoughts
With the chilly weather, I found myself looking back to the photos I took during this year's extremely warm fall. I distinctly remember wishing for cooler weather.....what was I thinking?
Dawn at the Barn
The Hunter Jumper show at FCRS was canceled at the last minute so I used my early morning for a quiet hack and some dawn pictures. I've been playing with shooting in RAW format, which I was pleased with this morning. The light was really bright, despite being so early. I think partially because we had a hard frost that was still around when I was shooting.
FCRS Hunter Jumper Show 11/6
Tomorrow I will be at the FCRS Hunter Jumper Schooling show to photograph rounds. I will also be available to do a limited number of portrait shots if you want to get a come good pictures before the winter woolies take over completely.
